1. License grant

You're granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and play the Game for your own entertainment, on devices you own or control, subject to the platform terms of whatever storefront you obtained it from (e.g. Steam's Subscriber Agreement).

2. Ownership

The Game, including its code, art, music, and writing, is owned by VulnByte and its creator(s). This license lets you play it — it doesn't transfer any ownership or rights beyond that.

3. Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Redistribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the Game or its assets
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract assets for use outside the Game, except where applicable law expressly permits it
• Use the Game to violate any applicable law

4. Not a real hacking tool

The Game is a satirical idle/clicker. Its terminal commands, "tools," and vulnerability names are thematic flavor over an idle-game core — nothing in the Game is intended to function as, or be used as, an actual security testing or hacking tool against real systems.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The Game is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose beyond general entertainment.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VulnByte is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Game.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated as the Game evolves (e.g. during Early Access). The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
